Villa holiday rentals in Lothian

We really enjoyed our stay in North Berwick. The house was so handy for everything. With shops and restaurants on the same street and an easy walk to the station and the beach. There was no issues with noise and we loved relaxing in the conservatory during the day and the lounge in the evening. We would definitely book again.

Huge rooms with lots of space and very warm. Toilet on the ground floor with a lovely shower room up some stairs to the first floor. Everywhere was pristine. The private parking was also very welcome. A lovely country park nearby which we would have liked to explore further if we had the time.

Lovely place to stay in Berwick Upon Tweed - great location, walking distance from everything. Accommodation spotless, has everything could need and very responsive, proactive host.

My husband, 13yrs daughter and I stayed for 5 nights in May 2025. Booking was easy, Yvonne was great with messaging all the info and checkin instructions. Apartment was super clean and tidy and really felt like a home away from home with all the little touches and had everything we needed. Fully equipt kitchen and a Morrisons about a 10min walk away to stock up. Short Uber ride into the city or a nice stroll. Would recommend :)

Adrian’s accommodation was the perfect place for 2 families to gather. There were 4 adults and 4 kids and the place was absolutely large enough to accommodate all of us. Really like that most rooms had an ensuite. The property had everything we needed and there was even a welcome pack which was really thoughtful. Location was pretty good. There was a Co-op right opposite so that was convenient if we needed any additional supplies. Thanks Adrian for making our stay such a lovely one. We look forward to coming back again in future.

The place was absolutely stunning. We were awestruck by the gorgeous interior. Visitors can expect a fantastic time staying in the accommodation. However, having a vehicle to travel is a must. There is parking available. Indoor heating (radiators) is provided in every room and common areas. Fireplace was used during our stay in the winter season. The host is very responsive and friendly. While the location provided is accurate. The drive up to the accommodation can erroneous as google map did not consider the closures at Forest Drive. Hence, it will be good to check with the host properly.

Had a wonderful time in a fantastic location in a fabulous house. Would highly recommend staying here golfer or not.

We liked everything, the price is good

We are a family of 8 and fit into the house perfectly. Big & clean house. The kitchen is well equipped. We are very happy with the location too as it’s only a short drive to Edinburgh city and also nearby grocery stores. Host is very responsive and helpful. I would 100% recommend this place for future stay.

This house was exactly as advertised. Spacious and beautiful. Perfect for two families. Check in was easy and Jacki was very responsive.

We were 2 families comprising of 4 adults and 3 teenage boys spending some time together for New Year. The house was a perfect location and had everything we needed to cook our meals. The beds were very comfortable and linens felt luxurious. There was just so much space in the house that it was so easy to find somewhere to spend time together or alone depending on the mood. Our boys particularly loved the living room with a huge TV and reclining sofas. We didn’t spend any time in the garden given the weather but it looked lovely and fairly private. None of us wanted to leave!

we have just left Howford house after a lovely 3 night weekend stay to celebrate my husbands 40th. we were a family of 14 adults, 2 children and a newborn baby and we had the most peaceful comfortable stay. the house is fantastic, it has everything you need and the location although super private and peaceful, it was near restaurants, the coop supermarket, Traquair House and land which we got discounted because we were house guests, and lots of walks and hikes. the surrounding acres were stunning with the frost and autumn leaves. we all loved our stay, the kids (and the adults) didn't want to leave. special thanks to Elaine the housekeeper who was brilliant with her communication and help. we will recommend and be back in the future.

Our family of 9 was able to spread out and enjoy this very special property. The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful!

Very welcoming upon arrival, showed us where everything is. Good appliances. Comfy atmosphere. Very willing couple, will help you out with what they can! Eg; directions, places to eat/drink. Hot tub nice and clean. Can’t fault the place or the hosts. Genuinely a good night stay. Recommend 100%

initially there was an issue with the hot tub but there is no was I could possibly take even a star away from this review. I brought the issue to Rachel's attention and she snapped into action straight away. the team went above and beyond to ensure things were sorted withing hours. A host that genuinely cares. A beautiful villa, warm and cosy with everything you need. exactly as described. I will definitely be staying here again.

To only give this Airbnb a 5 star rating feels very unfair, if I could have given it higher I would have. The property was beautifully presented, had amazing large communal spaces, with a very high standard of furniture, furnishings, and cleanliness. Our room was spacious and luxurious. The beds were great quality, and it was full of nice extra touches. The hosts were extremely generous, gracious, and friendly. A fantastic experience for us that will be hard for anyone else to top. We will definitely try to book this accommodation in the future when we are in the area. I have been fortunate enough to have many great experiences using Airbnb, but this was easily the Best.

We really enjoyed our stay at “The Stables”, the pictures are brilliant but the place in person is even better! We booked the accommodation for my best friends hen weekend and it really had the best aesthetic. The layout of the living area and kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms was great. Everything was up to date and clean… apart from (unfortunately) the outside kitchen… it was pretty gross, hadn’t been cleaned and there was empty glass bottle and glasses all over this areas. It was really not great, especially if we had gone ahead with hiring a private chef as this is the area we were going to use… glad we didn’t. The other parts of outside were lovely, hot tub and seating areas etc. On the Saturday we were quite shocked and not very comfortable with hotel staff just wondering in and out of our accommodation to get chairs out of a store in the back?! This really wasn’t acceptable, especially being a group of young ladies in swimwear having drinks outside, apparently they were allowed.
