Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Parma

As others have said—all of the reviews are spot on! A unique setting in the countryside about 30 minutes drive to Parma on mountain roads, beautiful historic building and grounds (with tastefully updated bathrooms to go with the historic charm, plus even a clothes washer and dryer you can access, a rarity in Italy), and a consummate host in Maria Teresa. Using her knowledge and connections to get personalized tours of smaller local parmigiano and prosciutto factories was a real highlight, and we especially enjoyed the nearby Torrechiara castle as well. The kids loved her animals too. 10/10 stay!

We loved our stay so much! Beautiful house and surroundings :) Borgo Val Di Taro is also a cute village to visit for ice cream, food and a good playground for our small kids! Thanks a lot for everything! We wish to come back in the future!

The place is BEAUTIFUL and the accommodation is as beautiful as in the photos and well-kept in details and cleanliness; highly recommended, therefore, excellent value for money👍 WARNING, in addition to there being no Wi-Fi as specified in the listing, THERE IS NO SIGNAL FOR PHONES in the room and throughout the town. You can access the Wi-Fi connection of Francesco's house in the village, but you have to go there, the connection does not reach the room, so if you have to work remotely, be available or have things to do that require the connection while you are traveling, it is not convenient. Apart from this magical place for those who love romance and nature, the B&B has beautiful people and great hospitality! 🏆😜 Highly recommended 👍🏆🏆🏆

A dive into the past in Marco's home, a delightful home well furnished with retro taste, large garden and super location! Marco is very helpful and always attentive to respect requests! I recommend it

Monia is a very kind and helpful host. The house is very large with comfortable beds, two bathrooms with a large and perfectly functioning shower.

A fantastic stay with breathtaking views that will never bore. From this location, you have the opportunity to visit many sights (Bologna, Modena, tastings, hikes, etc.), and then really come 'home' again. Thank you for sharing this magical place and the enormous hospitality Paul and Ruth.

Federica’s home was absolutely amazing. We were welcomed with genuine hospitality and treated with the utmost respect. The house was in perfect condition and offered several beautiful, relaxing outdoor spaces. We've stayed in many vacation rentals, but this was by far the best—so comfortable and inviting, we truly felt like family.

We stayed for 2 days at Silvias lovely house and wish we could have stayed for longer. It has been beautifully decorated and furnished and has everything you need for a special stay. Everything was SUPER clean. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in (and is huge!). Silvia and her husband are really thoughtful, friendly and helpful, with lots of suggestions for the area. Good walks and cycle routes from the door. There is a small pottery nearby where the ceramicist will provide private lessons, and of course there are lots of opportunities to buy prosciutto and parmigiano reggiano! This was a wonderful, relaxing stay and we highly, highly recommend Silvias house. thank you Silvia and Joris xx

Really lovely place, we felt right at home. Elena was always very responsive and helpful with everything, check-in and out was easy. Internet was fast and reliable with decent workspaces. We really appreciated the little details of having things like oil and herbs, etc, to use in the kitchen, rather than many bare bones Airbnbs that just have salt. Kitchen was very well equipped with pretty much everything you could need. Location is great, numerous stores in the area, including grocery stores, everything is very walkable. The only slightly negative thing is the bed is pretty noisy and squeaky when just shifting positions, which can be difficult if your partner is a light sleeper. But we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we ever find ourselves in Parma -- and hopefully we do, because the food is incredible!

We had a great stay! The apartment was exactly as described, with all the promised amenities in perfect working order. The host was very communicative and provided clear instructions for everything, which made the whole experience smooth and easy. The location is excellent, and overall we had no complaints. Highly recommended!

Great place. Convenient location, although a bit tricky to reach by car. We ended up parking 8 min away and carrying our luggage. Would be nice to know in advance how to reach the side road for unloading. The place itself is spacious and comfortable, even though it is very echo-y. Air conditioning works beautifully.

Very family-friendly accommodation, we were on the fourth floor with an elevator, small balcony in the kitchen with table and chairs, great for outdoor breakfast and smoking. Apartment with 2 bathrooms. Possibility of parking in the garage if you can't find a parking space on the street.

An oasis of peace and serenity far from chaos and noise. As soon as we arrived at Emilio's house, we felt like we had been catapulted into another era. Hay...green...horses...hens and a nice bunny running around the farm...enjoying all this is priceless. Thank you Emilio for the serenity that your house has given us.

The space itself is spectacular—steeped in history, beautifully preserved, and bursting with classic charm. From vaulted ceilings to delicate original details, every corner whispers stories of another era, and yet it’s been thoughtfully modernized to ensure total comfort. But the real highlight of our visit was Chiara herself. She is hands-down the most gracious, warm, and attentive host we’ve ever encountered. She greeted us with a radiant smile, made us feel instantly welcome, and was genuinely excited that we were there, as if we were old friends. Even better, Chiara’s local recommendations elevated our stay to another level. Thanks to her insider tips, we discovered mouthwatering trattorias, delightful wine bars, and charming hidden gems off the tourist path. A meal she pointed us to became our favorite

The stay in this accommodation was truly impeccable! The house was exactly as described: attention to detail and equipped with all the necessary comforts to feel at home. The location was in a quiet area and a short walk from the historic center, ideal for exploring the city without stress. The host was available, kind and attentive to every need. He provided very useful information on restaurants and public transport, always being present but never intrusive. The attention to small details was also very much appreciated: there was something to eat for breakfast, coffee capsules... I would recommend this accommodation without hesitation to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-organized experience.

Quiet place just outside of the busy central city at walkable to everything you want to see. A big plus is the private parking space but be aware that anything bigger than a compact car will be difficult to park there. The wireless was a little finicky to get onto at first, but once we restarted the router and seemed to work fine thereafter. The host was very responsive and accommodating. The air conditioning cooled the entire apartment to a comfortable temperature and the double glazing made the bedroom. Very quiet for sleeping. Good choice, especially if you have a car!

The check-in and check-out were very easy and understandable, also due to the help of Michela's English-speaking son. The parking spot in the underground parking is a big plus! The apartment was extremely clean and there was everything you need for a short vacation. The immediate surroundings are not too nice, but on foot or by bus you are quickly in the city center and can enjoy it. All in all I would recommend the apartment on due to the good value for money!

A trip chosen almost to play with my girlfriend Oriana, three days of wonderful emotions and feelings to take home. Assunta and Ivan, with their Matilde (beautiful dog of extraordinary sweetness), transported us into a dream, from the warm welcome, to the small attentions. And if the details make a difference, and they do, there are a lot of details here, from the cleanliness of the place to the crazy breakfasts! A project, that of their B&B, of extraordinary beauty. From the entrance there are wonderful scents, from lavender to dry straw; the colors are earthy, natural, sincere, a bit like their smile. It was great to chat with them about anything. We recommend learning how much more you need to know about the place and the surroundings. There are wonderful stories in those valleys full of nature, and they're there within walking distance. This extraordinary place really deserves to be seen, but above all lived. Highly recommended!
