Cozy cabin in a setting with proximity to several Golden circle stops

Good afternoon everyone, The place was a perfect first stop for our trip through Iceland for us. You felt right at home and the value for money is fair. The location is quiet and easily accessible. We still have small suggestions for improvement. -The light has partially flickered - There was hair on the beds -The hot tub was not clean - In the kitchen there was no baking paper for the stove. These are all small things, otherwise the place was perfect for us!

Off the beaten path but less than an hour away from Reykjavík - Beautiful location nestled in mountains. Ensure that you have the correct type of car.

Hans and Elsa were really good hosts and provided all the information we could have needed, answering questions and providing information speedily and accurately. The accommodation was perfect for my wife, daughter and me, and was in a wonderful peaceful setting about 15 minutes from Reykjavik. Everything that was needed was available, with the exception of WiFi, but Hans did explain beforehand that they were trying to set this up but it was currently a 'Bit of and experiment' - but we did have good data coverage in the area through our own mobile providers. The television in the accommodation didn't work either and no programmes were available, but that was relief, as we did spend long days you exploring all the south and western areas of Iceland. We would certainly use this accommodation again if coming back to Iceland and wanting to stay in the same area, and would happily recommend it to other who want a quite base from which to explore this part of Iceland.

A cozy hut to find some peace and relaxation but also well located to explore the south of Iceland. The missing Wi-Fi did not bother us. Only the kitchen could be a little better equipped if you want to cook yourself. We had a great time in Hans Hütte.

If you like the outdoors, Hveragardi is awesome. We are from Pennsylvania, and we seek out cool places for outdoor vacations. This locale was perfect for our two nights in Iceland en route to France. Oskar's place was great for us, big enough for our family of four and super convenient to trails, restaurants, grocery, etc. The only heads up I would provide to other perspective guests would be that the kitchen is not designed for big cookin'. It's got tiny house bare essentials and 4-5 sets of silverware, plates, etc. Also, the sauna is wood fired and takes a while to warm up and firewood is limited. The Hot tub is small but adequate. There was a hot water issue while we were there and we didn't make full use if it. In summary, the minor issues I've mentioned were just that, minor. Hanging out with village neighbors was a bonus and made the trip even better. I would absolutely go back to the little village.

Good tiny home that we used as a base camp to go exploring Iceland from during our week there. Fits the description and photos. We saw wonderful northern lights right above the house !

The scenery was amazing. It was wonderful to hang out on the porch, though admittedly a bit chilly in early October. The cabin was very cute, well laid out, clean, and with many small touches that made it wonderful. Only downside was that the hot water does have a strong sulfur smell and the kitchen sink is shallow resulting in water often spraying out of the sink due to the high water pressure. Aside from those two minor issues that place was perfect solitude. One other item to mention is that the nearby waterfall trail was very worthwhile. You park in the nearby small neighborhood and walk up an ATV trail. It was amazing to be the only people around the waterfall and to be able to hike further up the mountains.

Maria's cabin is out of the way on a small lake. The scenery is beautiful. The cabin had all the necessities and comfortable beds. One bedroom was on the small side, but the main bedroom was large. The only issue was a difference in how America and Icelandic people make their number 1's. I thought the Wi-Fi code had a 7 in it but it was a 1. After I figured that out, the Wi-Fi worked great. :-)

Friendly hostess, well equipped home, quiet place, fell like home. Highly recommended.

Perfect cabin for a trip to Iceland! It was small but that's what we were expecting from the description, and the space was enough for our needs. The host was very quick to respond anytime we had a question. Would definitely recommend!

Very nice spot out in the country; cannot beat the view from hot tub. Very quiet and peaceful area to enjoy. There is plenty to do locally by driving around and checking out the beautiful sites and landscape that Iceland has to offer. It is a self sustaining cabin so we did need to clean up everything at the end which was easy and allowed us to truly get away from the city lights and we got to see some northern lights right off the back porch on the last night of our stay!

I reserve 5 stars for top notch accommodations! Loved Kristine’s place! We will definitely be back if she’ll have us!

This is the perfect location if you want to feel remote and close to nature but conveniently close to the city and main roads. The house is bright and open with great views from the main living area (watching the sunsets through those big windows is a real treat). Arngunner's instructions made finding the property and getting settled in very easy.

Amazing cottage in a beautiful location. Has everything you need and more. Hot tub with beautiful mountain views on one side and lake on the other. Hosts were super responsive and helpful. Can’t wait to go back.

We loved kristin and eagle’ cabin. It is located 24 minutes off reykjavik. The drive was amazing with an endless purple flowers , lots of singing birds, ponies , hills and a lake. The cabin is warm and private and nicely decorated . Kristin provided me awesome itinerary to visit place near the golden circle and eagle even helped me park my car . My daughter and I couldn’t be happier staying at their lovely cabin. Highly recommended .

A cozy stay, great if you are looking to get away from the city. It's a bit far from any convenient stores so pack up before you arrive. Overall, a great cabin.
