Holiday rentals with a fire pit in James River

Three couples wanted a central meeting place to spend some quality time catching up with each other. It was just the perfect place! We had a nice time talking in the hot tub, around the fire on the cozy porch, and in the exquisite pool. The goats added a nice touch to this country setting. The kitchen had all the cooking supplies we needed and more. We did a good bit of eating onsite so that was appreciated. We unfortunately didn’t use the pingpong table or other games but they were there to enjoy. There were plenty of towels and the new washer and dryer were great. It’s a great location to experience the many local wineries. Bobbi and Keith were excellent hosts, friendly and gave great suggestions of things to do. Everything about our stay was wonderful. We hope to return soon!

Hidden Haven is a perfect place for a weekend getaway. Quiet, private, and secluded, it lives up to every picture and description. From the heated tile to the closed in porch, every part of this Airbnb is perfect. My boyfriend and I plan to come back next year for another weekend. Thank you Sarah for a perfect couples retreat!

Dwayne created a very thoughtful and comfortable space inside and out. We even got a chance to enjoy a thunderstorm on the covered front porch. Our dogs enjoyed the fenced in yard. Would love to return.

The Hideaway Oasis was a great find, clean, well-stocked and Katie’s hospitality was top notch! Between the flexibility with our check-in and the personalized special surprises for the kids and dogs, we couldn’t have asked for a nicer host. Katie went out of her way to welcome us… sooo appreciated after a busy day of packing and dealing with movers. Fun game room, relaxing outdoor area… we loved listening to the birds singing while enjoying our morning coffee. This is THE place to stay when visiting Fort Greg-Adams! Thank you, Katie!

Hutch’s Bluff was a great house in a fabulous location. There was all that you needed for your stay as well as beautiful view of the river. We felt right at home and it was so peaceful and relaxing. Will definitely return.

Suzy’s place was the perfect spot to stay! From booking to checkout, everything went smoothly. The apartment was extremely clean, as well as comfortable. The bedrooms are large and provided extra blankets and pillows. We had everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked, and she provided coffee, creamer, and snacks! I would definitely stay here again.

Kendall was a great host. She took care of what I needed and was friendly and responsive. The house and location were great! Very private and perfect if you have a dog. We were very pleased. Thanks Kendall!

This location at SML is great! Its close to everything including the water. I spent most of my evenings during my stay sitting on the dock and just enjoying the quiet and the scenery. If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend renting a boat and just relaxing on the water. This was a great and complaint free experience.

We stayed for a volleyball tournament. We were able to get there by walking in under 10 minutes. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores. The canal walk is close and there is a playground across the street.

Steff's place is great! This is our 4th year staying here on our way down to the beach. She thinks of everything you may need for your stay and responds quickly to messages. she eveneaves treats for the doggies! Highly recommend!

Great stay with a rustic experience. Loved hearing the rooster when i arrived and the frogs at night. The Magnolia tree smells amazing. Definitely off thr beaten path and a great get away for fast paced city folks. The studio had some many detailed touches and was very nice!

We had a wonderful, relaxing time. Creekside Cottage is the perfect place to get away from it all. Alicia is a terrific host. Her recommendations were spot-on. I appreciated the little touches like a snack basket.

This was a beautiful experience for us. We loved this gem of an Airbnb, giving a grand adventure from the trip there to the fire under starry night sky. The bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked and extremely helpful. The cabin itself was very attractive and clean. This is our second year in a row that we stayed here for our annual family retreat (me, my wife and adult children with their partners). We loved it the first time and it was every bit as good the second. The house is in a beautiful peaceful setting tucked away in the woods with a mountain view. We spent most of our time during the day out on the decks, which were very comfortable with plenty of seating, outdoor couches and tables. We also took advantage of the fire pit. The house is actually much larger in size than how it looks . There is a good-sized living room with huge couch and large TV. Everyone had private rooms, which were very clean and comfortable with excellent furnishings. The kitchen was fully supplied for our cooking needs. Whenever we had a question Breanna was very quick to respond. If you're looking for a true getaway, I highly recommend staying here.

This is THE sweetest little cabin surrounded by nature! We loved our stay at Melody's special place🌸🌿🐛🍄🦋🌞 We had the most amazing weather and walked all of the paths we could find. Unfortunately, recent rain water has washed away any hint of The Stream of Consciousness and we didn't feel safe walking through the mud and huge amount of leaves because of snakes and other creatures that were probably making their home in the piles. The meadow during the day was alive with butterflies and other insects and at night we saw the FULL Strawberry Moon and hundreds on Fireflies! I was suprised at the small dorm refrigerator and half a stove. Don't bring alot of food or you won't be able to keep it cold! Other than that, this was one of our favorite places to stay to date! Melody was a kind, friendly host and provided everything that you could possibly need 🩷 The small touches of love in the decor definitely showed how loved this tiny cabin is! We were SO cozy and comfy in this Airbnb! J&M

The cabin was spacious with a cozy feel. It had everything we needed to enjoy with our little one including a nice wooden high chair!

It rained the entire stay. While we had expected better weather, you cannot beat the windows and the sound of the rain on the roof, for a great getaway atmosphere. We loved it.

We took a girls’ trip to Covington to celebrate my friends’ 30th birthday. It was perfect! You could tell they put a lot of thought and care into their cabin, which didn’t go unnoticed. It was truly perfect— fully stocked with everything we needed! We loved swimming in the creek (we even packed a few floaties, which made it perfect) and hopping in the hot tub! Woody's is a gem for people that just need to have some quite time alone or with your partner. Always clean and well maintained. Phyllis and Tatyana are great hostess and always keep you in the loop as to weather conditions and area concerns. We are grateful to have such a lovely place to rest.
