Holiday rentals with a sauna in Te Waipounamu / South Island

We had a great stay! Lockbox is a short walk away from the building and saw that others on the property had theirs right outside the door which would be easier. Luckily we had beautiful weather so it wasn’t a bother :)

Great place , enjoyed our stay

Really beautiful spot just a few steps away from the main center of restaurants and shops. Great angle to view the lake and mountains — the owners suite on the second floor had a nice view, and then the third floor had a stunning view (which was nice with the open concept between living/dining room). The sauna was a fun touch too! We juuust barely managed to fit our 2 cars into the garage, but might not be doable if your cars are on the larger side.

Incredible airbnb, I would absolutely stay here again. Private home tucked away in a beautiful landscape. Home was clean, had all the useful appliances, wonderful shower + kitchen. Bed was comfortable, wifi was fast. You have your own entrance and parking area. Hosts were so welcoming and friendly. There are donkeys on the adjacent property area that you can feed which was the highlight. The gym and sauna are underneath the airbnb listing but we were so active in town that we did not end up using them. Short drive to town for restaurants. Highly recommend, perfect for 2 people.

This place was close to where all the action is but also quite peaceful and very secure and safe for its location in proximity to Courtney Place and beyond. If you dont mind the odd wierdo person on Courtney Place, there are great places to eat and is close by to museums/supermarkets and public transport. The gym, sauna and pool came in handy when you dont feel like going out your way to a formal workout place.

We stayed here for over a month and had a wonderful experience. The location is absolutely ideal. It's tucked away on a quiet dead-end street, yet just a 5-minute walk to downtown Wanaka and the lake. It felt very private and peaceful, with no traffic noise, just the sound of the little stream/brook, which we could see and hear from both the bedroom window and the living room balcony. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed, and we cooked nearly every night. Elizabeth, our host, was incredibly responsive and helped us sort out a minor internet issue right away. We also really appreciated the hospitality—Mike, our local point of contact, even lent us hiking poles for some nearby trails. Overall, a fantastic stay in a beautiful spot. Would absolutely return!

Amazing B&B in a great location! Place was immaculate and we loved the sauna and steam shower. Great location. Walkable to a lot of bars, breweries, restaurants, and grocery store. Sally was extremely helpful with local recommendations. Instructions were clear, easy to follow, and thorough. Highly recommend this place!

Great location, a few minutes walk from the city.We arrived and went to the front desk first.The receptionist led us to the underground parking lot, took us to the room on the 2nd floor, warmly introduced how to use the fireplace in the room, and the location of the supermarket restaurant nearby.The whole house is not big except the living room, the luggage needs to carry a few stairs, the rest is very good.

Paul’s house and setting matched our expectations from the listing. It was very clean, tidy, spacious, warm and nicely furnished. The lounge, dining and kitchen area looked out across the garden to the beach. Unfortunately it rained for most of our short stay so we didn’t take as much advantage of the outdoor setting and facilities as we might have otherwise done. Despite that our party of 4 adults and 3 children all enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very welcoming and were quick to answer any queries we had.

Heath picked us up from the airport and gave us a tour around town before taking us to our accommodation. Five Ferns was spotless and comfortable. Fiona made dinner reservations for us. Everyone was so accommodating! We love Stewart Island and Five Ferns!

We had a wonderful stay in a very comfortable home. The home is spacious and very well equipped. With the unseasonable weather during most of our stay we were very grateful for the efficient heating and, on 2 occasions, the wood burner. Sam communicated very well and on occasions we required assistance, she was very responsive. We would be very happy to stay in this home again and will certainly recommend it to others.

My family and I spent a wonderful four nights here. The kids didn't even want to leave! Ray's service was impeccable—with prompt responses and patiently answering every question. Highly recommended!

We loved our stay at McKerrow Place in Queenstown. Sharlene could not have been more helpful and was a wonderful host. The house was (is) superb with a great set up for our family get together. The views over the lake are breathtaking and the house is set up for you to relax into those views. A very special place - made for a magic family holiday - thak you Sharlene we loved it !!

Beautiful home, fully equipped and responsive host! A cozy home with everything you need from bathroom to kitchen to bedroom and very near Queenstown! Peaceful and love the hot tub and sauna with the mountain view and love the Bluetooth speaker … every night we have 2 dogs visiting us to say hi!

Excellent stay!! Everything was perfect and we had a great holiday Great location from the city. Great view and clean space. Would highly recommend!

Lucie's place is amazing, I felt at home the whole time. It's very close to the beach, but it was hard to leave the house as it was so homey! We came back from the beach to enjoy the sauna, which is a huge plus. 10/10 experience, we'll be back :)
